8th Grade Washington DC Trip

The Lapeer East 8th Grade DC trip will be Thursday May 6 - Tuesday, May 11, 2010.

Wednesday, February 24 is DC trip tee-shirt day. Be sure to wear your shirt to school that day. We will be taking a picture for the yearbook.

Wednesday, March 17-ALL fundraising money is due to Mrs. Owen in room C-25.

There are limited supplies of candy bars to sell. Stop by Mrs. Owen's room to check out a box of candy.

Wednesday, March 24-The final payment of $200 is due to Mrs. Owen in room C-24.

A suggested packing list, cell phone policy and more were given to your student at the February 17 meeting. Please be sure to look over these with your student.

The Lapeer West 8th Grade DC trip will be Thursday May 6 - Tuesday, May 11, 2010.

Cookie Dough Pick-Up
Cookie Dough orders will be available for pick up in the West cafeteria, Tuesday, February 23, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Please do not come early as orders will not be ready.  Due to refrigeration needs, any orders not picked up will be donated to a local soup kitchen. 

Pizza Kits Orders Due
Pizza Kit Orders are to Mrs. Fisher Wednesday, March 10. 

All Fundraiser Money Due In
ALL other fundraisers (candy and cards) must be turned in to Mrs. Fisher in Room 200 NO LATER THAN Monday, March 15.   Any money turned in after this date WILL NOT be credited to your student’s account.

Mandatory Meetings
Our next mandatory meeting will be Tuesday, March 16 from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. in Room 147.  We will be discussing rules, itinerary, cell phone policy, and general trip information.  Please be sure your student is in attendance.

Our Student/Chaperone mandatory meeting is Tuesday, April 20 from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. in the Lapeer West cafeteria.  Students will be meeting their chaperones at that time.  Chaperones will have very important information for your students.  Please be sure they are in attendance.

Our Student/ Parent mandatory meeting is Tuesday, April 27 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Lapeer West cafeteria.  This is our last meeting before we leave for the trip.  It is VERY IMPORTANT that you are there with your student.  Emergency cards, policies and other forms will need to be completed at this meeting. 

Pizza Kit Pick-Up

Final Payment Due
Your student’s final payment is March 15.   Due to the fact that candy and card money is due on this same date, all fundraisers will be posted to your student’s account by March 19, therefore if you are waiting for fundraisers to be posted to your account, you will have until March 22.
